Laura Derksen
Laura's life and travel experiences led her to join the exciting world of adventure travel in 2008. Having lived in such diverse countries as Pakistan and Ghana growing up definitely made an impression, as did the many travels that have followed in recent years during her time working in the adventure travel industry. Being an active hiker at home has led Laura to be an active hiker on holiday as well! She’s hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru, wandered the villages of Annapurna in Nepal, stood at the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and explored the snowy landscapes of Antarctica all on foot. And let’s not forget the stunning volcanic landscapes on the Laugavegur trek in Iceland! It’s not all about hiking though, Laura has also travelled extensively throughout Europe, Central America and her first foray into the Middle East took her on an exploration of the ancient wonders of Egypt. Heather Turner
Travelling the world is an addiction! I love feeling like an explorer – discoveringa new land, a new culture, meeting new friends and sharing experiences along the
way. It’s been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember and I know it always will be. I have been travelling the world for more than 30 years and I am always happy to share what I have learned along the way. Some of my favorite adventures include kayaking in Halong Bay Vietnam, winding through the Medina in Fez Morocco, hiking through the vineyards in Tuscany and watching the sunset in the Masai Mara at the end of a game drive. The world is an amazing place and I look forward to working with you to turn your travel dreams into reality!
